Bullhouse Brew Co. – Belfast
Starting in March 2016 as the brainchild of Craft Beer enthusiast Willy Mayne, Bullhouse slowly made progress in the burgeoning Northern Irish Craft Beer scene. Moving into a huge, 6000sq ft unit in South Belfast in 2020, the brewery opened Belfast’s first permanent taproom in 2022 and since have spread their wings far and wide, despite existing in the most restrictive beer market in Europe.
Suds – Pale – 4.5%
A fruity, hazy Pale brewed with a large addition of oats in the grist for body.
Small Axe – Session IPA – 4.3%
A crisp, crushable SIPA with Chinook and Mosaic.
Keep Rollin – India Pale Lager – 4.8%
A clean and crisp lager with a big dry-hop giving a big citrus note.
Rolling Papers – Hazy IPA – 5.2%
A big dry-hop and a fruity house yeast combine for a real tropical vibe.
A Sheep In Wolf’s Clothing – Dunblane
Started in 2020 by ex-rugby player Matty Dixon, Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing moved to Dunblane from Falkirk in October of last year. Specialising in session-strength beers, they have found a niche in the competitive Scottish beer scene.
Lumber Jill – WC IPA – 5.0%
An old-school West Coast IPA, with all the pine, citrus, and bitterness you would expect.
Cask Are You Were, Cask As You Are – Pale Ale – 3.4%
A fresh, hoppy pale with notes of mango, honey and marmalade.
Dark Nebula – Barrel-Aged Porter – 3.4%
Quite possibly the only 3.4% barrel aged beer we’ve ever seen at The Epicurean! A complex malt bill, Belgian yeast and bourbon barrels do the business here.
Eisprinzessen – Hazy IPA – 3.0%
A light, refreshing IPA with notes of pineapple and citrus.
BrewBoard – Cambridge
Started in 2017 by Stuart Chambers, BrewBoard brew a truly diverse range of beers, from Red IPAs to Hefeweizen, IPLs to Hoppy Stouts.
Hammahed – Hazy Pale – 4.5%
A single-hop showcase pale featuring BB591. Expect floral notes and grapefruit pith.
Ripchord – Pale Ale – 4.3%
A bitter, passionfruit-heavy pale with Mosaic, Citra and Cascade.
Smökevurks – Pale Ale – 4.0%
A well balanced pale, with zesty hops countered by caramel malt.
Cardinaldred – Red IPA – 4.6%
A fruity, maple-y Red IPA brewed with Mandarina Bavaria and Trident hops and balanced with Vienna Malt.

Abbeydale – Sheffield
Founded in 1996 in the city’s Antique Quarter, Abbeydale have become a true Sheffield institution. Known for their fantastic cask beer, bold IPAs, rich stouts and mixed-ferm “Funk Dungeon” series, they provide for all tastes.
Moonshine – Pale – 4.3%
A beautifully well-balanced Pale hopped with Willamette, Delta, Chinook, Citra & Centennial.
Sheffield Rocks – Heritage Pale Ale – 4.1%
Made using all UK ingredients, and hopped with Pilgrim and UK Cascade.
Wilderness – New England Pale – 4.5%
A soft and juicy pale hopped with Amarillo & Nelson.
Restoration – Dark Mild – 4.0%
A smooth, malty Dark Mild with a hint of roastiness and a gentle bitterness.
Shiny – Little Eaton, Derby
Operating since 2012, then in the back of the Furnace Inn in Derby, Shiny moved to a purpose-built brewery in Little Eaton in 2015. As well as operating their Shiny Tap, they brew modern beers and great cask ale.
Dolphin Milk – DDH Pale – 4.1%
Soft, hazy pale hopped with an astounding array of hop products: Citra BBC, Citra Dynaboost, Citra Quantum Brite, Krush, Nectaron T90 & Nectar Quantum Brite.
Happy Things We Should Send Into Space – DDH Pale – 4.4%
A juicy, crisp pale hopped with Mosaic, Talus & Sabro.
Wiki Wiki Wah Wah – WC IPA – 6.0%
A dry, bitter West Coast IPA, full of resinous pine and sharp citrus.
Double Damson Crumble – Fruited Pastry Sour – 7.2%
A huge, vegan-friendly pastry sour featuring 740g per litre of damsons.
New Invention – Walsall
Started in 2019 by Karol Kawecki in Bloxwich, New Invention brew a wide range of beers in their 30HL brewery. From Hop-forward IPAs to big stouts and fruity sours, there’s something for everyone!
Spectral Static – New England Pale – 4.8%
A tropical pale starring Citra, Talus & Sabro.
Westbound – West Coast Pale – 5.6%
A bright, tropical-tinged West Coast pale with Idaho 7 and El Dorado.
Apple Pie Pale – Fruited Pale – 5.4% CONTAINS LACTOSE
A dessert-inspired pale with apple, vanilla, cinnamon and muscovado sugar.
Crème Brûlée – Pastry Stout – 5.3% CONTAINS LACTOSE
A rich stout with lots of caramelised malt flavours, vanilla and hints of chocolate.
Goodh – Indian Queens, Cornwall
Since appearing in Beer Club in 2022, Goodh have gone from strength to strength. Local and National success has meant they were also able to revive iconic Truro brewery Skinners and now operate both breweries independently.
Tipitwitchet – IPA – 5.6%
A hazy IPA with notes of mango, grapefruit and lychee.
Restoration – Pale Ale – 3.5%
A nicely balanced pale with Simcoe and El Dorado hops. Recent Gold winner at Taste of The West.
Gossamer – Session IPA – 4.3%
A crisp, light Session IPA hopped with Amarillo & Mosaic.
Pretty F**king Goodh – Milkshake IPA – 5.6% (CONTAINS LACTOSE)
A creamy, decadent Milkshake IPA with strawberry & vanilla.
Brewing Brothers – Hastings
Opening as a Brewpub in Hastings’ The Imperial in August 2016, Brewing Brothers have gone on to great success, expanding in 2021 with a dedicated brewery and taproom, and now operate a range of bars in Hastings and Folkestone.
MVP – IPA – 4.7%
Brewing Brothers’ flagship beer, with big tropical notes and a soft finish.
Reforestation – Pale Ale – 4.0%
A climate positive pale, using domestic hops Godiva and Olicana.
Low Tide – Pale Ale – 3.4%
A light, refreshing and juicy low-strength pale brewed with a rotating hop selection.
Pom – Fruited Lager – 4.2%
A crisp, dry lager with the addition of Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc grape skins from Tillingham Vineyards.
Farm Yard – Cockerham, Lancashire
Returning once again this month is Farm Yard. Focussing on a fantastic core range and a healthy line-up of specials, they are really pushing on as a brewery and continue to grow.
Oui Chef – Small Pale – 3.4%
A bright, sessionable pale with Strata, Azacca and Maui Nelson.
Lift – NEIPA – 4.2%
Brewed with Waimea, Vic Secret and Wai-Iti for International Women's Day.
Smoove Bitter – Nitro Bitter – 3.9%
A smooth, easy-drinking bitter using pale malt and torrified wheat. Pour Hard!
Smoove Dark – Nitro Stout – 4.5%
A velvety, rich stout with plenty of chocolate malt. Pour Hard!
Buxton Brewery – Buxton
A legendary name in the Northern beer scene, Buxton opened their doors in 2009 and since then have continued to build a reputation for exceptionally well made, forward-thinking beers that are still firmly rooted in tradition.
Wyoming Sheep Ranch – West Coast DIPA – 8.4%
A big, bitter beast of a DIPA, with plenty of citrus and pine.
Plead The Fifth – NEIPA – 4.5%
A fresh, tropical IPA hopped with Idaho 7, Cashmere, Citra, Crystal and Amarillo.
Right To Roam – Best Bitter – 4.2%
A fruity bitter made with English hops.
Mug Shot – Coffee Porter – 5.2%
A rich, robust porter infused with coffee from Buxton Coffee.
Round Corner – Melton Mowbray
Founded in 2018 in the famous Melton Mowbray market, Round Corner are fast gaining traction in their native East Midlands, racking up awards and proving that there’s more to Melton Mowbray than pork pies!
Steeplechase – Pale Ale – 4.4%
A balanced Pale with a blend of US, English and New Zealand hops.
Drovers – Session IPA – 4.3%
A crisp, juicy SIPA hopped with Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic.
Réunion – Witbier – 5.0%
A classic style Witbier, with orange peel, coriander seeds and pink peppercorns, hopped with Motueka.
Hopping Spree – West Coast IPA – 6.6%
A crisp, dry and bitter WCIPA with plenty of tropical notes.
Siren Craft Brew – Berkshire
Returning once again this month is Siren. Still churning out great beer after great beer, and even last year collaborating with 20th Century Studios to release a beer for the Alien: Romulus premiere!
Sparkle – Pale Ale – 3.4%
A bright, sessionable pale with Citra, Idaho 7 and El Dorado.
Fractal Reality – Session IPA – 4.2%
An easy-drinking Idaho 7 session IPA, with plenty of tropical aroma.
Still Spinning – IPA – 6.8%
A punchy hop-forward IPA with plenty of bitterness.
Body Language – Stout – 4.0%
A classically robust yet sessionable stout brewed in collaboration with Madrid’s Cervecera Peninsula.
Blackjack – Manchester
Returning once again to Beer Club this month are staff favourites Blackjack. They had a very busy 2024, launching their new branding and taking up residence in legendary Levenshulme craft bar Station Hop.
Five Alive – Pale Ale – 4.0%
A full-flavoured Pale, with a classic hop profile featuring Citra, Amaraillo and Mosaic.
Brace – Pale Ale – 4.5%
A crisp, light pale using an all-Noble hop bill, resulting in a herbal, grassy and spicy aroma.
Hurdles – DDH Pale – 5.5%
A tropical, juicy DDH Pale with NZ duo Nelson Sauvin & Nectaron.
All Angels – American Brown Ale – 5.0%
A well-balanced brown ale, with caramel malt alongside grapefruit hop character.
Cloudwater – Manchester
Another returnee to Beer Club this month is Cloudwater. 2024 was another great year for the Piccadilly brewery, brewing some fantastic beers and launching their seasonal Block Party festival.
Deeply – Pale Ale – 5.0%
A clean, smooth Pale brewed using 100% Hana malt and Lorien hops.
San Doku – Pale Ale – 4.0%
A soft, juicy pale hopped with Citra and Mosaic.
Mimosa Breeze – Fruited Sour – 4.5%
A cocktail-inspired sour, with blood orange.
Piccadilly Porter – Porter – 4.5%
A sessionable nitro porter with plenty of roasted character.
Sureshot – Manchester
Returning once again this month is Sureshot. Still one of the most-highly regarded and well-pedigreed breweries in Manchester, they have really gone from strength to strength this year.
Fish In The Percolator – Pale Ale – 4.5%
A juicy, citrussy pale with Motueka, Rakau, Galaxy and new hop The Bruce.
Laugh Or Burn – Pale Ale – 5.0%
Dry-hopped with Mosaic, Citra and Eclipse for big mango and citrus aroma.
Lovely Bit Of Squirrel – NEIPA – 6.5%
A big tropical juice bomb, with plenty of that signature stonefruit.
Is That Your Final Answer? – Fruited Sour – 4.5%
A cranberry, raspberry and cherry sour brewed in collaboration with Bundobust.
Weekend Project – Mobberley
A new venture from the folks at Mobberley Brewhouse, Weekend Project focus on high-quality, hop-forward beers with fantastic design and big flavour.
Island Hopper – Pale Ale – 4.5%
A wonderfully soft & clean pale utilising US and Australian hops.
Meadows – DDH Pale Ale – 5.2%
A tropical pale featuring Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe.
Breakfast Club – Milkshake IPA – 6.0% *CONTAINS LACTOSE*
A sweet, tropical IPA with fantastic mouthfeel from a good dose of oats.
Trailhead – Mountain Pale Ale – 5.6%
Combining the crisp bitterness of a West Coast pale and the juiciness of a NEPA, this Mountain Pale is the best of both worlds.
Pressure Drop – Tottenham
Starting in a garden shed in Hackney back in 2012, Pressure Drop have grown and grown to one of the UK’s most recognisable and reliable breweries.
Bloom Field – NE Pale Ale – 4.8%
A soft and pillowy pale with peach, orange and melon notes.
Growth Cycles – NE Pale Ale – 4.8%
A light, sessionable pale with melon, nectarine and citrus flavours.
New Zealand Pils – Pilsner – 4.5%
A crisp, refreshing pilsner with Kiwi hops Moeuka and Nelson Sauvin.
Fast Fruits – Berliner Weisse – 3.8%

Left Handed Giant – Bristol
LHG return to Beer Club this month having conquered most of Bristol, operating two Brewery Taphouses and four additional venues in their home city.
West Coast Pale – West Coast Pale Ale – 4.8%
A bright and fresh pale with citrus, pine and tangerine.
Hazy Pale – NE Pale Ale – 4.8%
A smooth and tropical sessionable pale showcasing Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado.
Watch You Go – Extra Pale Ale – 4.2%
A crisp, pithy XPA with the classic bill of Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe.
Marshland Creatures – Milk Stout – 6.9% *CONTAINS LACTOSE*
A twist on LHG’s classic stout “Woodland Creatures”, subbing out the pistachio for Hazelnut, with the same creaminess and honeycomb sweetness.
Hackney Brewery – Hackney
Founded in 2011 by Peter Hills and Jon Swain, Hackney have long been an important part of the London beer scene. They expanded in 2021, opening a new site on the Blackhorse Beer Mile and have been bringing their hop-forward beers to a larger audience ever since.
Kapow! – Pale – 4.5%
A lovely little tropical pale, with a big punchy US dry-hop and a light malt base.
Days Of Rave – Pale Ale – 3.5%
A sessionable pale brewed in collaboration with Denmark’s Seagrove Public. Hopped with Citra, Chinook & Eclipse.
Boogie Van – DDH IPA – 5.5%
A bright, dank IPA with notes of pineapple and dark berries.
Millions Of Berries – Fruited Sour – 4.0%
A tart, sharp and thirst-quenching sour packed with blackberries and blackcurrants.
Overtone – Glasgow
Returning to Beer Club this month is Glasgow’s Overtone. Starting in 2018, they have gone from strength to strength, fast becoming one of the most well-regarded craft breweries in Scotland.
Going Places – Pale Ale – 4.0%
A bright, zesty pale featuring a Talus & Citra dry-hop.
Driftwood – West Coast Pale Ale – 4.5%
A crisp, West-Coast-style pale brewed with Simcoe, Ahtanum and Azacca.
There She Gose – Gose – 4.0%
A fruity Gose, brewed with Mirabelle plums and ginger.
Das Model – Kölsch – 4.2%
A crisp, refreshing (and gluten free!) Kölsch hopped with Hallertau.
Powder Monkey – Gosport
Operated out of a converted historic Naval gunpowder store, Powder Monkey are a small team on the south coast brewing some great beers and often working with Veterans’ causes. They also boast Northampton, England and Lions Rugby star Steve Thompson as a Director & Brand Ambassador!
Bubbleheads– Brut IPA – 5.0%
A bone-dry and effervescent IPA, with grassy and citrus notes.
Monkey’s Charge – DDH Pale Ale – 5.2%
A tropical hop-bomb of a DDH Pale, using Azacca and Amarillo.
Monkey’s Fist – Session IPA – 4.6%
A bright, citrus-forward SIPA with a solid malt backbone.
Cutlass – Stout – 5.0%
A rich, layered stout brewed with sour Morello cherries and cacao nibs.
Full Circle Brew Co. – Newcastle upon Tyne
Newcastle’s Full Circle return to Beer Club this month. Now firmly ensconced in their Hoults Yard location, they continue to brew some of the North-East’s best beers.
First Krush – Session IPA – 3.9%
Brewed with Cryo-Pop, this juicy little SIPA is bursting with tropical fruit flavour.
Easy Peasy – Pale Ale – 4.4%
Hopped with Lemondrop, Amarillo and lemon zest to ramp up the citrus aroma..
Up The Ante – NEIPA – 6.6%
A proper juicebomb, featuring Citra in Cryo, T90 and Hypnoboost formats.
All Systems Down – Oatmeal Stout – 4.5%
A smooth, rich and malty stout with a light hop bite.
Colbier – Liverpool
An extremely young brewery, formed just this year by Mike Corbett, Stuart Rumble and Vikki Williams. Based in Bootle, and inspired by a shared love of music, Colbier make modern beers alongside more traditional European styles.
Chorus – Pale Ale – 4.0%
A traditional British pale using Citra and spicy German hop Polaris.
Piano – Table Beer – 2.9%
A fruity, New England-style Table Beer brewed with Simcoe and El Dorado.
Accent – Stout – 4.0%
A traditional Gose, with a high Wheat content, and featuring coriander seed and salt.
Vivace – Blonde – 4.2%
A crisp, refreshing blonde with Willamette hops for a subtle blackcurrant aroma.
Wylde Sky – Cambridge
Having started brewing in 2018, Wylde Sky are a brewery starting to gain recognition outside of the East of England due to their tight, European-focused portfolio of beers, ranging from Saisons and Stouts to Bohemian Pils and Kölsch/Bitter hybrids.
New England IPA – Session NEIPA – 3.5%
A low-ABV NEIPA, with flavours of orange and peach.
Pacific Pale Ale – Pale Ale – 4.0%
A smooth and tropical sessionable pale featuring Centennial, Ekuanot, Simcoe and Mosaic.
Cambridge – NEPA – 4.6%
A juicy, tropical NEPA with big stonefruit flavours.
Saison – Saison – 4.8%
Tart, spicy and dry, a classic Franco-Belgian style Saison.
Simple Things Fermentation – Glasgow
Simple Things Fermentations in Glasgow is a dynamic brewery specialising in handcrafted, small-batch beers that celebrate the art of fermentation. With a commitment to quality and creativity, they produce unique brews that capture the essence of local ingredients and innovative brewing techniques.
US Pale – Pale Ale – 4.8%
A sessionable pale hopped with Simcoe, Calypso and Cashmere.
Peated Pale – Smoked Pale Ale – 5.6%
A rarity – a smoked pale! Peated malt and bitter hops combine for a unique experience.
Pale Ale – Pale Ale – 5.6%
A juicy, medium bodied pale with a European hop bill – Hallertau Blanc, Mandarina Bavaria and Barbe Rouge.
Scottish Export with Spruce – Heavy/80 Shilling – 5.5%
A fruity, autumnal beer with rich malts and spruce tips for a crisp piney finish.
Turning Point – Knaresborough, Yorkshire
Founded in 2017, and moved in 2019 from Kirby Moorside to Roosters’ old unit in Knaresborough. Turning Point are fast becoming one of Yorkshire’s top craft breweries, consistently putting out fantastic IPAs, sours and stouts.
Disco Jester – Pale Ale – 5.1%
A pale using British hops – Jester, Harlequin and UK Chinook.
Disco Island – Fruited Pale – 5.1%
Turning Point’s core range classic Disco King with the addition of fresh pineapple and Sabro hops.
Disco Midnight – Stout – 5.1%
A smooth, roasty stout dry-hopped with the hops from Disco King: Chinook, Simcoe and Mosaic.
Nova – Pilsner – 4.6%
A crisp, refreshing Pilsner hopped with Saaz and Tettnang.
Marble – Salford
Marble make their return to Beer Club this month, and remain one of the iconic names in UK Craft Beer. Beginning in 1997 in the back of the legendary Marble Arch pub, they have had a literal who’s who of North West brewers pass through and go on to make waves at some of the finest breweries in the UK.
Pioneer – Pale Ale – 4.5%
Brewed for CASK in Pimlico, Pioneer is a fresh, piney pale hopped with Topaz and Galaxy.
Hindmarsh – Pale Ale – 3.7%
A smooth and tropical sessionable pale showcasing Amarillo.
Heavy Pop – NEPA – 4.5%
A low-ABV hop bomb, bursting with Cascade, El Dorado and Galaxy.
Nilsson – Gose – 4.2%
Inspired by the lyrics of the Harry Nilsson song, this gose is packed full of lime and coconut.
Heart Of Darkness – Saigon, Vietnam
Established in 2016 by American John Pemberton, Heart Of Darkness have quickly become one of the leading figures in the burgeoning SE Asian craft beer scene. Boasting 3 taprooms in Saigon, Da Nang and Singapore, they have won a host of awards and are pushing boundaries in a market that was until very recently almost completely lager-dominated.
The River – IPA – 5.7%
A crisp, golden IPA with sweet citrus and tropical notes.
Kurtz’s Insane IPA – IPA – 7.1%
A vibrant, heady and balanced IPA, with 7 hops providing over 100 IBUs of bitterness. A real throwback.
Dream Alone – Pale Ale – 5.7%
A juicy, medium bodied pale with notes of peach, mango, tangerine and blueberry.
Tropical BiA – Fruited Pilsner – 5.0%
A crisp, Bohemian-style Pilsner with the addition of Mango & Passionfruit.
Quantock – Taunton, Somerset
Founded in 2007 in the heart of cider country, Quantock recently took on new investment, expanding to a massive 30HL kit, and continue to pump out great beer after great beer.
QPA – Pale Ale – 4.0%
Quantock’s flagship beer, a classic pale with late US hop additions for maximum flavour.
Titanium – West Coast IPA – 5.1%
A multi-award-winning IPA, with a strong malt backbone and a huge dose of Citra and Ekuanot.
Radicle – Session IPA – 4.5%
A fruity, juicy, and sessionable hazy IPA with plenty of tropical fruit from Idaho 7, Simcoe and Talus.
Tropical Fuzz – Fruited Sour – 6.5%
A fruity, refreshing sour with added apricot, guava and mango.
Brass Castle – Malton, Yorkshire
Beginning in East Yorkshire in 2011, Brass Castle moved to their current site in Malton in 2014. They have turned heads with their (since 2017) entirely gluten-free and lactose-free vegan-friendly beer range, as well as their distinctive ambigrammatic logo.
Hoptical Illusion – Pale Ale – 4.4%
A light, citrussy and easy-going pale.
Sunshine – IPA – 5.7%
A bright, exceptionally balanced IPA with a generous dry-hop.
Dark Web – Stout – 4.8%
A dark, roasty stout hopped with Chinook & Columbus.
Green Man – Tripel – 8.4%
A traditionally-brewed Belgian Tripel, spicy and fruity but with an added tropical note from an Azacca and Ekuanot dry-hop.
Kirkstall Brewery – Leeds
An institution in the UK Craft Beer scene, Kirkstall have been producing top-quality beers since 2011, and are based near Kirkstall Abbey, which itself has a long brewing history.
Three Swords – Extra Pale Ale – 4.5%
A crisp, fresh and clean XPA with citrus-forward hops.
Flamango – NE Pale – 3.4%
A hazy, soft Pale with it’s tropical notes pumped up with the addition of fresh Mango.
Virtuous Grapefruit – Session IPA – 4.5%
A variation of Kirkstall’s signature SIPA, with lots of tang from the added grapefruit.
Tiramisu – Stout – 5.5%
A rich, full bodied stout using coffee from North Star Coffee.
North – Leeds
Truly UK Craft Beer Royalty, the team originally behind North started North Bar in Leeds in 1997 – arguably the first craft beer bar in the UK. They have since gone on to open a fantastic brewery, with a new taproom opening in 2022 in Circle Square in Manchester.
Automatic – Pale Ale – 4.5%
A juicy yet refreshingly bitter pale, packed with classic West Coast hops.
The Square Ball – Pale Ale – 4.%%
Another “California” pale, blending the juiciness of a modern pale with a bitter West Coast hop profile.
Summer Piñata – Fruited Pale – 4.5%
A summery take on North’s signature tropical fruited pale, with added strawberry and lychee puree.
Triple Fruited Gose – Gose – 4.5% CONTAINS LACTOSE
The newest in North’s signature Triple-Fruited Gose series, blending sweet Mango and Pineapple with zesty lime.
Neighbourhood – Poynton
A small, locally-focussed brewery based in Poynton, Neighbourhood appeared in Beer Club a few years ago, and since then have concentrated on local Makers’ Markets, and local bars. Their beer has also been really dialled-in, focusing on great, drinkable pales.
High Dive – Pale Ale – 4.0%

Pilot – Leith, Edinburgh
Formed in 2013 by Matt Johnson & Patrick Jones, Pilot consistently churn out amazing, adventurous beer. They were the first brewery in Scotland to stop fining beer with isinglass, a step many have now taken. They also run possibly the most fun account on “Beer Twitter”.

Formed by a group of homebrewers in 2009, Legal Remedy first started releasing beer to the public in 2014 and have become a staple of their local scene and throughout the rest of South Carolina.

Bullhouse Brew Co. – Belfast
Starting in March 2016 as the brainchild of Craft Beer enthusiast Willy Mayne, Bullhouse slowly made progress in the burgeoning Northern Irish Craft Beer scene. Moving into a huge, 6000sq ft unit in South Belfast in 2020, the brewery opened Belfast’s first permanent taproom in 2022 and since have spread their wings far and wide, despite existing in the most restrictive beer market in Europe.

Formed in Liverpool after a fundraising event at Clearview Carnival, Carnival Brewing have started to make a name for themselves both at home and further afield. Inspired by a love of music, they brew a varied range of beers, from DIPAs to Imperial Stouts and everything in between.

An institution in the UK Craft Beer scene, Kirkstall have been producing top-quality beers since 2011, and are based near Kirkstall Abbey, which itself has a long brewing history.

This soft, hazy IPA uses Australian Eclipse hops for a zesty, citrus-forward beer.
Providence – NE Pale Ale – 5.2%
A pillowy New England Pale, with plenty of Citra, Amarillo and Ekuanot.

A bold, bitter, and piney West Coast IPA, with a lighter malt base and a clean, dry finish.
Sticky Toffee Stout – Pastry Stout – 6.0% (CONTAINS LACTOSE)
This Pastry Stout is obviously inspired by the classic dessert. Sticky, sweet and rich.
WEST Brewery – Glasgow
Founded by Bavarian ex-pat Petra Wetzel, WEST are essentially a German brewery based in Glasgow. Their main products are German-style lagers, brewed in strict adherence to the Rheinheitsgebot, the German Purity law. They have, however (presumably to local demand) started to brew other styles such as pales, IPAs and stouts.

An extremely young local brewery, having only opened it’s doors in early 2021, and focussing on a small range of meticulously handcrafted core beers. The can art is provided by French artist Mina Mond, and evokes fascinating mythological imagery.

A micro-brewery from Sussex, Missing Link are based on a 360-acre farm and strive for sustainability, investing in re-wilding, solar panels and re-using their waste yeast and hops as fertiliser. They brew a great range of beers, from Belgian Witbier to NEIPA, and are garnering great Untappd scores as they do it!

Beginning life in a converted milking parlour on Bodmin Moor in 2012, Firebrand have now upped sticks to nearby Launceston. They have been brewing hoppy, sessionable beers and supplying the South West with them for a good number of years now.

Part of Buxton’s single-hop IPA series, this utilises Styrian Wolf hops so expect flavours of lemon, mango and lemongrass.

S43 – Coxhoe, Co. Durham
Formerly known as Sonnet 43, S43 initially started as a cask-focused brewery. The addition of Texan Alex Rattray to the team in 2018 signalled the start of a move towards a more hop-forward, innovative craft approach, and they are now known for producing some of the most interesting beers in the North-East.

Founded in 1996 in the city’s Antique Quarter, Abbeydale have become a true Sheffield institution. Known for their fantastic cask beer, bold IPAs, rich stouts and mixed-ferm “Funk Dungeon” series, they provide for all tastes.

Founded in 2017 by Miranda Hudson and ex-Brew By Numbers brewer Derek Bates, Duration have turned their farmhouse in West Norfolk into a haven for beer lovers who enjoyed expertly crafted pales, lagers and saisons.

An award-winning “continental” pale, hopped with European Tettnang and Mandarina Bavaria, and pitched with a mixed yeast strain to encourage fruity yeast esters.

Wilde Child – Leeds
Starting with a tiny 1-barrel kit, Keir McAllister-Wilde’s brewery has grown incredibly in the last few years, now boasting a large, 10-barrel, 2000sqft facility where he and his team pump out exciting, tasty craft beer!
Enduring Libation – Pale – 4.4%
A Centennial and Citra dual-hopping provide familiarity and a healthy bitterness to this tropical, citrus-forward pale.
Imposter Infiltrator – Pale – 4.2%

Allendale – Allendale, Northumberland
Based near the borders of Cumbria and Durham, Allendale have been brewing traditional real ales since 2006. Recently they have been trying their hand at more modern fare, even launching their own range of Hard Seltzers in 2019.
Anvil – IPA – 5.5%
Formerly known as Allendale Pale Ale, Anvil is highly-decorated English pale packed with Galaxy for a notes of passion fruit, on a rich malty backbone.
Hop On – Session IPA – 4.7%
Hopped with Galaxy and Simcoe, this gluten-free IPA is extremely well-balanced with big tropical and citrus notes.
Last Exit – NEIPA – 5.8%
A soft, full-bodied and fruity IPA, full of stonefruit flavour and tropical aromas.
Gargoyle – Grisette – 4.8%
A spicy and complex rye Grisette, full of tart, funky character and noble hop aromas.
gwei·lo – Hong Kong / York
Originally starting in Hong Kong, Gweilo produce exotic and interesting beers inspired by the bright lights, atmosphere and flavours of their adopted home (gweilo is a friendly Cantonese term for “foreigner”).
Session IPA– Session IPA – 4.5%
A big Mosaic dry-hop gives plenty of tropical character to this immensely drinkable Session IPA.
PB&J – Pale Ale – 4.9%
Combining peanut, raspberry and vanilla with Mosaic hops might seem like a stretch, but they come together wonderfully in this dessert-style pale ale.
Tropical Lager – IPL – 4.2%
A sizeable dose of Ekuanot in the dry-hop gives this light-bodied lager notes of tropical Papaya while retaining a crisp, dry finish.
Rainbow Sherbet Sour – Fruited Sour – 4.5%
Raspberry puree and lemon zest amp up the tartness in this sour, combining for a nostalgic flavour explosion!
Chapter – Sutton Weaver, Cheshire
Drawing inspiration from the literary world, Chapter are a brewery with a growing reputation. With a widely varied output ranging from Pales and IPAs to Witbier and Smoked Porter, expect to see more and more from them.
Taller Than A House – Pale – 3.9%
A soft, oaty body provides the base for citrus-forward hops to shine in this session pale.
Kandata – Pale – 4.7%
Quite an – old-school APA – think smooth caramel malt, piney notes and an assertive bitterness.
KTS – Dry-Hopped Export Kölsch – 5.3%
Amping up the strength and dry-hopping transforms this Kölsch into an altogether different beast, something more akin to an IPL or Cold IPA. A real staff favourite at the Epicurean!
Dead Man’s Fist – Smoked Porter – 5.5%
A former winner of CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Cheshire, a beech-smoked porter with black pepper.
Villages – Deptford, South London
Founded in 2016 by brothers Archie and Louis Village in Deptford, Villages are starting make it outside of London and we’re delighted to showcase them in this month’s beer club!
RODEO – Pale Ale – 4.6%
A soft, hazy Pale with just a hint of bitterness and bags of tropical fruit flavour.
RAFIKI – Session IPA – 4.3%
An amber, juicy yet still bitter session IPA, full of resinous, pithy notes.
BIG SALAD – IPA – 5.8%
A soft, full-bodied and fruity IPA, full of stonefruit flavour and tropical aromas.
NIGHT OWL – Stout – 7.5%
A rich, roasty stout conditioned on cherry wood chips for complexity.
Goodh – Indian Queens, Cornwall
Goodh are a brewery on the rise – having recently opened their taproom in Truro, they are collecting very good scores on rating sites and have appeared on the Epicurean shelves more than a few times before!
Afterloaf – Pale – 5.0%
A rich, malty pale using bread from a local brewery to complement the complex malt bill.
Falifornia – West Coast Pale – 4.7%
A proper West-Coast style pale, with an assertive bitterness and a piney, citrussy hop profile..
Joe – Coffee Stout – 7.5%
Jam-packed with coffee, chocolate and roasty notes, this stout provides a very complex experience for it’s strength.
Frambooze – Fruited Wheat Beer – 6.6%
Tart raspberries deliver real refreshment in this amped-up and dangerously drinkable wheat beer.
Wiper & True – Bristol
Going from keen home brewers, to nomadic brewing and now based out of a huge facility in St Werburgh's, Bristol, Wiper & True have cemented themselves as an accomplished and reliable names on the UK craft beer scene.
Wild Places – Pale – 3.9%
Hopped generously with Idaho 7, this pale is full of peach and citrus peel notes.
Amity – Table Pale – 3.5%
A smaller, extra-refreshing pale for summer with soft bitterness and beautiful floral notes.
Cherry Bomb – Sour – 4.6%
A vibrant, full-bodied sour, packed with heaps of juicy cherries.
Tall Mountains – IPA – 6.3%
Bursting with juicy citrus and stonefruit flavours, this IPA is hopped with Amarillo and Mosaic.
Brew York – York
Having recently celebrated their 6th birthday, Brew York are known not only for their accomplished IPAs and Pales, but their dedication to sours and pastry stouts, cramming simply bonkers flavours into their beer!
Kairuku – Cold IPA – 6.8%
A relatively new innovation, the “Cold” IPA utilises a West Coast IPA base but with lager yeast and adds a crispness to it’s resolutely bitter and aromatic hop profile.
Blood Eagle – Fruited IPA – 5.7%
Packed with blood orange and citrus-forward US hops Columbus, Centennial and Comet, this fruited IPA is a reinvention of a competition-winning recipe from 2017.
Big Toucan – Nitro Stout – 4.8%
Brew York’s take on the classic Nitro Irish Dry Stout recipe. Expect coffee and chocolate notes with a super-soft body due to the nitrogen. Follow the pouring instructions on the can – pour hard!
Rhubarb And Custardz – Sour – 4.9% (CONTAINS LACTOSE)
Based on the classic boiled sweets, this sour has tart rhubarb, with a creamy vanilla finish.
Cassels & Sons – Christchurch, New Zealand
Founded in Christchurch in 2008, Cassels & Sons have become a firm favourite at the Epicurean, with their use of native New Zealand hops and award-winning Stouts a real highlight.
NZ Pale – Pale – 5.3%
Hopped with Nectaron, Kohatu, Moutere and Wai-iti, this golden pale is jam-packed with tropical aromas.
NZ IPA – IPA – 5.7%
A full-bodied IPA with Moutere, Nectaron and Taiheke, with notes of juicy fruit and a strong malt backbone.
Brut IPA – Brut IPA – 7.5%
An oft-maligned style, this Brut IPA is a real treat. Crisp, refreshing and very dry, full of juicy hoppiness.
Double Cream – Milk Stout – 8.1% (CONTAINS LACTOSE)
A real staff favourite here at the Epicurean, strong, malty and ridiculously rich and creamy.
Lacada – Portrush, Co. Down
Based on the scenic North Antrim Coast, Lacada have grown from a father & son operation to a thriving brewing co-op, consistently ranked as the top Northern Irish brewery on Untappd.
West Bay – Pale – 4.6%
Dry-hopped with Citra, this pale is full of pine and citrus flavours.
Shore – Stout – 7.0%
This export stout is given huge complexity with the addition of smoked malt and locally harvested dulse.
The Slab – Pale – 4.6%
Brewed with Vic Secret and Mosaic, this pale ale is packed with juicy tropical aromas.
Knockout Brewing – Castlereagh, Belfast
Founded in 2014, Knockout are a great addition to the Belfast beer scene, brewing modern, hop-forward beers.
Counterpunch – IPA – 5.2%
Wonderfully balanced and aromatic IPA, dry-hopped with Azzaca, Mosaic, Galaxy and Simcoe.
Uppercut – Pale – 4.5%
Single-hopped with Citra, this pale is crisp, citrussy and crushable.
Prizefighter – IPA – 4.0%
Brewed with Mosaic, Azzacca and Simcoe, a juicy, zesty IPA with bags of tropical flavour.
Farmageddon – Comber, Co. Down
Founded in 2013 by a group of like-minded home brewers, Farmageddon is a co-operative brewery specialising in extremely drinkable IPAs and great dark beers.
IPA – West Coast IPA – 5.5%
A full-on West-Coast flavour assault, with Amarillo, Simcoe and Cascade providing that old-school hop profile.
Porter – India Porter – 5.2%
Brewed using cocoa and a generous dose of Amarillo, this is a cracking little chocolate orange bomb.
Session IPA – Session IPA – 4.8%
Hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe, with plenty of wheat for body, this SIPA is extremly crushable and thirst quenching.
Mourne Mountains Brewery – Warrenpoint, Co. Down
Mourne Mountains Brewery was founded in 2015, situated in the foothills of the beautiful Mourne Mountains. Using the spectacular water from the Mournes on a traditional brewhouse, they produce some of the finest beer in Ireland.
Cliff Hanger – Pale – 4.2%
An assertively bitter West Coast Pale, dry-hopped with Chinook and Citra.
Overdue – Amber Ale – 6.3%
Brewed with crystal malts and dry hopped with Centennial and Cascade, this amber is wonderfully juicy and malty.
Parallel Lines – IPA – 6.7%
Dry-hopped with Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic, this “No-Coast” IPA is perfectly balanced and dry.
Black Iris - Nottingham
Based in Nottingham, Black Iris pride themselves on a producing a wide, diverse range of beers. Their fantastic beer and eye-catching, tattoo-inspired labels have made them a firm favourite here at The Epicurean.
Endless Summer – Session IPA – 4.5%
Packed with Mosaic and Simcoe, this session IPA is bursting with pineapple and grapefruit flavours
Divine Elements – IPA – 6.0%
Single-hopped with Mosaic, expect a big tropical juice-bomb, full of that signature stonefruit aroma.
Dead Man’s Hand – NEIPA – 6.5%
With a classic combo of Citra and Mosaic, this murky NEIPA is juicy, hoppy and pillowy.
Rise And Shine – Coffee Stout – 5.2% (CONTAINS LACTOSE)
Brewed with coffee from the nearby Outpost Coffee roasters, this cracker of a stout is smooth, easy-drinking and full of beautiful coffee aroma.
Hophurst - Wigan
Founded in 2014 by Stuart Hurst, Hophurst are a social enterprise Microbrewery based in Hindley, Wigan. Working with disadvantaged people and helping them re-skill and re-enter the workforce. Their beers have recently won awards such as SIBA’s Overall Champion Cask Beer Award at 2021’s North West Independent Beer Awards.
Cosmati – Pale Ale – 4.2%
A really refreshing American Pale, with flavours of blueberry, citrus and tropical fruit.
Wolf – Pale Ale – 4.0%
Using rarely seen Dragon and Wolf hops, this pale is full of floral mango and citrus flavour.
Fjord – Pale Ale – 4.5%
Brewed using Kveik yeast, Fjord is packed with pithy bitterness and fruity yeast esters.
Sourface – Sour – 4.5%
A kettle sour using Sicilian lemons, this beer is dry, tangy, zesty and super refreshing.
Stannary Brewing - Tavistock
Formed in 2015 by a group of like-minded home-brewers, and moved to a new, larger premises in 2017. They brew a wide variety of beers, but are well known for their pales and IPAs.
Winnemucca – DDH IPA – 5.4%
Double-dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Columbus, this juicy IPA is full of citrus and super juicy.
Stannary Pale – Pale Ale – 4.0%
Stannary’s core pale is extremely crushable, clean, crisp and hoppy.
Candid Charlatan – DDH Table Beer – 3.0%
A super-sessionable DDH pale using Ahtanum, Simcoe & Mosaic for a full on citrus hit.
Darker Nights – “Roasted” Saison – 6.0%
Brewed with Abbaye yeast, this Belgian-inspired brew is rich, fruity and warming a little hint of funk.
Newtown Park - Bristol
Founded in 2020 by husband & wife team Michael & Lara, and with former Moor brewer Virginia Casadio as Head Brewer, Newtown Park are one of the newest outfits in the ever-excellent Bristol beer scene, and we’re all big fans of them here!
Infinite Horizons – IPA – 6.9%
A pillowy, oat-y body makes way for a massive dry-hop featuring Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial. Expect peachy, tropical vibes with a punchy citrus hit.
It Comes In Waves – West Coast Pale – 4.0%
Assertively bitter yet well-balanced, with a malty backbone.
Internal Monologue – Stout – 5.0%
Easy drinking yet complex stout, full of nutty and roasty flavours with hints of chocolate and coffee.
Rhythm Is Life Life Is Ryhthm – Berliner Weisse – 2.8%
A classic Berliner, hopped with Mittelfruh and packed with lemony and pineapple notes.
Hideaway - Salford
Born during lockdown, Hideaway are a new operation out of Worsley, Salford whose gaming-inspired beers and Akihabara-sytled cans are new to us here at the Epicurean.
Cheat Mode – Small Pale – 3.2%
Packed with Mosaic, this little table beer doesn’t skimp on stonefruit flavour!
Arcade Nights – Rye Pale – 4.7%
Crisp and spicy, this pale has plenty of juicy hop flavour from a generous dose of Galaxy, Mosaic and Citra.
Button Basher – NEIPA – 8.0%
Well rounded but still packing a punch, this NEIPA is chock-full of pineapple, grapefruit and coconut notes.
End Boss – Milk Stout – 7.4% (CONTAINS LACTOSE)
Rich, smooth and complex, this stout combines caramel malts with cocoa and vanilla for a luxurious dessert experience.
One Mile End – Whitechapel & Tottenham
One Mile End first started in the White Hart in Whitechapel, and have since moved their brewing operation to North Tottenham, brewing exceptionally fine hoppy pales, stouts and farmhouse beers.
Juicy 4PM – New England Pale – 4.9%
Double-dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado, this supremely crushable pale is One Mile End’s flagship beer.
Salvation! – Pale Ale – 4.4%
With lots of pilsner malt, this pale is exceptionally crisp and drinkable, and packed with fruity American hops.
Dirty Cash – IPA – 6.0%
With Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo and utilising Verdant’s signature yeast strain, this is a juicy hop bomb.
Biere De Garde – Biere De Garde – 10.0%
Modelled after the traditional French style of “Keeping Beer”, this Imperial Farmhouse Ale is an aged blonde – expect sweetness, funk and boozy heat.
